The German news agency dpa reports police found the heroin in a taxi and that it was bound for markets in Western Europe. It was reportedly one of the biggest ever seizures of fully processed heroin.

Afghanistan is the largest opium producer in the world, and President Hamid Karzai has made tackling the problem a priority of his government.
