Bush Calls On Allies To Bolster Afghan Effort
WASHINGTON, February 15, 2007 -- U.S. President George W. Bush says NATO countries must provide their forces in Afghanistan with the troops and equipment they need to fight the Taliban.

In a speech in Washington on the U.S.-led war on terrorism, Bush said allies must lift restrictions on how their troops operate. He also said "remarkable progress" had been achieved in Afghanistan, but that the enemy had "struck back with a vengeance" in 2006.
