Roadside Bombs Kill At Least Eight Afghan Security Officials
KABUL, April 23, 2007 -- Roadside bombs in Afghanistan today killed at least eight Afghan security officials -- the latest in a series of explosions blamed on Taliban fighters.

The governor of Laghman Province (Governor Gulab) told RFE/RL's Radio Free Afghanistan that six intelligence officials from a neighboring province (Nangarhar) were killed by a remote-controlled bomb as they traveled in Laghman. A similar roadside bomb today killed two Afghan police officers in the southern Zabul Province.
