French Aid Workers, Afghan Guides Gone Missing In Afghanistan
PARIS, April 4, 2007 -- Two French aid workers and their three Afghan guides have gone missing in Afghanistan.
The French Foreign Ministry quotes the France-based aid group Terre d'Enfance (Land of Childhood) as saying it has not heard from the five since Tuesday (April 3) morning.
The French AFP news agency quotes a purported Taliban spokesman (Yousef Ahmadi) as saying the Taliban are responsible for the kidnapping.
