Rice To Meet NATO Colleagues On Afghanistan,
WASHINGTON, April 24, 2007 -- The State Department says U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will travel to Norway on Thursday (April 26) for a meeting of NATO foreign ministers on Afghanistan, missile defense, and Kosovo.
The department says also expected in Oslo is Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov. Russia is at odds
with U.S. plans for missile defense facilities in Poland and the Czech Republic, and with a U.N. plan for a supervised independence for Kosovo.
