Seoul Says Taliban To Free Korean Hostages
SEOUL, August 28, 2007 -- The South Korean presidential office says Taliban militants intend to free all 19 South Korean hostages they have been holding for nearly six weeks.

The announcement comes after talks between South Korean diplomats and Taliban negotiators today. A total of 23 South Korean were kidnapped July 19 while travelling from Kabul to Kandahar. Two female hostages were killed, and two female hostages were released earlier this month in what the militants called a
"goodwill gesture."
