The program highlighted the most discussed problems and issues Afghan women currently face in Afghanistan. The program was moderated from the studio in Prague by RFA journalist Sarwan Asmatullah and Nazar Zarif. The Prague studio moderators were accompanied by colleagues from the Turkmen and Tajik services, Oraz Yklimov and Salimov Mirza. The guests in RFA's Kabul studio were the newly appointed governor of Bamiyan Province, Habiba Sorabi (first woman governor appointed by the president after the fall of Taliban regime); Hanisa Mohammad Omar, Kabul University professor and Afghan Ministry of Youth representative; Shukria Barekzai, editor in chief of the Afghan woman's magazine "Aine Zan" (Women's mirror).
The topic of the roundtable discussion was the position of women in Afghan society. The participants during the roundtable discussion were commenting on the problems women still face in Afghanistan four years after the fall of the Taliban regime. The problems addressed in the Prague and Kabul studios mostly reflected the less than cheerful reality that Afghan women face in most parts of Afghanistan. The abuse of women's rights in Afghan society, according to the guests in the Kabul studio, is deeply rooted more in the traditions Afghans have developed over the centuries than in Islam.

One of the results of the discussion in both studios was that the people involved in women's affairs in Afghanistan should include Islamic scholars in an effort to help bring full equality for women and to have access to education. Islam teaches Muslims that the right to education is given for both men and women, the guests agreed. Also, all guests in the studios agreed that since the fall of the Taliban government, there have been many positive changes and developments in Afghanistan, such as an increased number of educational facilities for women and women's participation in the first free and democratic presidential election. The appointment of Bamiyan Governor Sorabi Habiba, who participated in the free and challenging debate in the studio, was also a positive step towards women's equality in social and political life in Afghanistan.
